The breakfast in the dining room was excellent to start your day. Everything was good and the staff were well-trained and affable. Location: the hotel was adjacent to cafes and restaurants, shopping centres, and the interesting Panfilov park, the main market and big shops, and the center of Almaty. Had tea and goodies at Cafe Kangnam, nestled 1 mi of the property.

The hotel had a great location, being close to all the popular tourist spots. What really stood out to me was the hotel's historic charm, giving me a glimpse into what it was like to stay in one of the best hotels in Almaty 35 years ago. The old Soviet architecture and luxurious lobby, decorated with heavy carpeting and red wood doors, added a unique touch to my stay. The rooms were equipped with traditional cabinets, transporting me back in time. The full breakfast offered a variety of delicious options, including hot entries, crepes, eggs, porridge, and traditional Kazakh tea. The spacious restaurant had plenty of comfortable seating, and the attentive wait staff ensured that used dishes were promptly cleared away. I had a fantastic experience at this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Hotel was a bit dark at night, not many lights on around the hallways.

It's central to so many interesting and cultural sights. The breakfast room is incredible, with Kazakh-style rugs and paintings on the ceiling. The staff is helpful and arranged a smooth taxi to the airport. The building has lots of character, and the rooms, though basic, are comfortable.

Felt free to seek any assistance, no complaints.

The hotel is clean with affable staff. the rooms are large and the building is nice, located in the center of the city. I enjoyed an excellent meal at the lobby restaurant.

The quality of food served for the breakfast was average. No coffee machine and bread was not very fresh.

I was pleasantly surprised by the convenient location of the hotel and the comfortable room, despite its Soviet-style furniture. The breakfast, though simple, was satisfactory. The reception staff were polite and helpful, despite the language barrier. The view from the balcony was enjoyable, and overall, the hotel offered good value for money.
